Sequoia

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

I’ve become quite the nature photographer as of late, mostly thanks to my good friend Sean who is my travel guide now. Recently some of us went up to Sequoia and King’s Canyon to camp, hike and take sweet photos. It was quite a success, although there were a few hikes we couldn’t do because of snow. Surprisingly, there was still A LOT of snow that hadn’t melted away yet, so it was an interesting mix of weather depending on where we were. Here a few highlights of many…enjoy.

Joshua Tree

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

In March, on a whim, my friend Sean and I drove to Joshua Tree, just for two days. It was a good time, minus the wind chill factor that brought it down to 25 degrees at night. We explored as much as we could. In the middle of Joshua Tree it feels completely prehistoric…if they made a Jurassic Park in the desert this would be the place. Also,. I must say the 24mm 1.4 mk II is an amazing lens to photograph national parks with, best lens purchase I’ve ever made. In a few days we will see what kind of magic it can create in Sequoia.
